15 Captain Norman served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir Williim Lockhart in
1897-98 with the 1st Battalii n Northamptonshire Regiment with the Tirnh Expeditionary Force, and was present
at the reconnaissance of the Saian Sar, and in the operations in the Bsra Valley (Medal with two Clasps).
16 Captain Trent served in the campaian on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart in 1897-
q8 with the 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment with the Tirah Expeditionary Force, and was present in the
engagements at Chagru Kotal and Dargai, the capture of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes, and the recon-
naissance of the Saran Sar — severely wounded (lledal with two Clasps).
