I Lt. General Wilkinson served with the 42nd Highlanders in the Crimea up to Oct. 1854, including the
battle of Alma and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with two Clasps, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal).
Served the campaign of 1857-5S against the mutineers in India, including the action at Khodagunj, siege and fall
of Lucknow, attack on the Fort of Rooyah, action of Ally-gunge, and capture of Bareilly (Medal with Clasp).
3 Lt.Colonel the Hon. A. E. Dalzell served in the operations in Burma in 1891-92 in command cf the Maingkhwau
Column (Medal with Clasp). Served in the South African war ia 1899-1900111 command of the 1st Battalion Oxford-
shire L'ght Infantry, took part in the march from Modder River to Bloemfontein, and was present in the cngage-
111 nts at Klip Drift, Paardeberg, Poplar Grove, and Driefontein, and the occupation of Bloemfontein ; commanded
a Brigade at the capture of Kitchener's Kopje on 19th February, and was present throughout the operations of
Major General Knox's Column in Orange River Colony, including many minor engagements (mentioned in
despatches, CB.).
* Lt.Colonel Eccles served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart in
1897-98 with the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire Light Infantry with the Mohmand Field Force, and with the
Peshawur Column and the 5th Brigade Tirah Expeditionary Force including the operations in the Bara Valley
Medal with two Clasps.) [See also Civil Decoration for Gallantry, " Hart's Annual Army List," p. 915.]
" Major Mockler (DSO.) served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lock-
hart in 1897-9S with the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire Light Infantry with the Mohmand Field Force, and with the
Peshawur Column and the 5th Brigade Tirah Expeditionary Force including the operations in the Bara A r aHey
(Medal with two Clasps). Served in the South African war in" 1899-1900 with the 1st Battalion Oxfordshire Light
Infantry, took pait in the march from Modder River to Bloemfontein, and was present in the engagements at Klip
Drift, Paardeberg, Poplar Grove, and Driefontein, and the occupation of Bloemfontein; was present throughout
the operations of Knox's Column in Oranga River Colony, inclnd ng many minor engagements.
9 Lt.Colonel Fanshawe served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart
in 1897-98 with the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire Light Infantry -with the Mohmand Field Force, and with the
Peshawur Column and the 5th Brigade Tirah Expeditionary Force including the operations in the Bara Valley
(Medal with two Clasps). Served in the South African war in 1893-1900 on Special Service, and took part in the
operations at Paardeberg of 16th to 27th February 1900— wounded (mentioned in despatches, DSO. Brevet of
Lt.Colonel).
10 Major Lamotte served in the South African war in 1899-1900 with the 1st Battalion Oxfordshire Light
Infantry, took part in the march from Modder River to Bloemfontein, and was present in the engagements
at Paardeberg, Poplar Grove, and Driefontein, and the occupation of Bloemfontein ; was present throughout the
operations of Knox's Column in Orange River Colony, including many minor engagements.
II Major Davies served with the Burmese Expedition in 1887-88 (Medal with Clasp). Served in the campaign
on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart in 1897-98 with the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire
Light Infantry with the Mohmand Field Force, and with the Peshawur Column and the 5th Brigade Tirah Expe-
ditionary Force including the operations in the Bara Valley (mentioned in despatches, Medal with two Clasps).
12 Major White served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart in
1807-98 with the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire Light Infantry with the Mohmand Field Force, and with the Peshawur
Column and the 5th Brigade Tirah Expeditionary Force including the operations in the Bara Valley (Medal with
two Clasps).
