when the Native Troops mutinied on the 7th June 1857, and accompanied the pursuing Column (Medal).
63 Lt.Colonel J. D. Bradley served in the Crimea from 10th Jan. 1855 including the siege and fall of Sebastopol

73 Lt.Colonel W. H. Brind served as a Midshipman in the Navy throughout the Persian campaign of 1856-57, and
was present at the landing under heavy fire in Hallilah Bay, taking of the Bushire Forts, bombardment storm
and capture of Busnire (wounded), battle of Kooshab, and bombardment of Mohnmrah (Medal with Clasp).
Was also actively engaged in several boat engagements in the Canton river and North Coast of China in 1857.
Served with the 1st Bengal European Fusiliers in the Indian Mutiny campaign in 1857-59, an( i was present in
the actions of Barree,Nawabgunge, and Kentour, engagement with and capture of five guns from the Nusseera-
bad Brigade, and several other actions in Oude (Medal). Served with the nth Punjaub Infantry in tha China
war of i860 at the defence of Canton; and in 1861 was engaged in the defence of Shanghai and Woosung against
the Taeping rebels (Medal).

Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the engagements at El Mngfar and Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions
at Kassasin, and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, 4th Class of the Osmanieh, and Khedive's Star).
<*t Lt.Colonel R. H. Broeke-Hunt served with the 72nd Highlanders in the Afghan war from March 1879 till January
t88o with the Koorum and Cabul Field Forces, and was present in the engagement at Charasiah (mentioned in
despatches), and in the operations aroujd Cabul in December 1879 (Medal with two Clasps). Served with the
ist Battalion Seaforth Highlanders in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir
(Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
75 Lt.Colonel C. E. Brown served in the Afghan war in 1880 (Medal).
~6 Lt.Colonel W. E. Brown served with the 57th Regiment in the Crimea from 5th Feb. 1855, including the siege of
Sebastopol, attacks of the Redan on 18th June (with the storming Column) and 8th Sept.; also at the bombardment
and surrender of Kinbourn (Medal with Clasp, 5th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Commanded a party
of the 57th Regiment with the Column under Brigadier Coghlan at the attack and capture of the Arab village of
Sheik Othman on the 18th Man-h 1858 (mentioned in despatch, and thanked in General orders). Served in the
New Zealand war in 1861 (Medal).

engagement at TJlnndi (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp).
78 Lt.Colonel W. H. Browne served with the 101st Fusiliers in the Indian North West Frontier war of 1863, and
was present at the storm and capture of the Crag Piquet (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Afghan war in
1378-79 (Medal).
79 Lt.Colonel A. C. Bruce served in the Afghan war from April 1879 until in valided on 26th May 1880, as Assistant
Field Engineer, first with the 2nd Division Peshawur Valley Field Force, and afterwards with the Khyber Line
Force, including the operations in the Shuliman Valley and the engagement at Kam Dakka (mentioned in
despatches, Medal).
80 Lt.Colonel H. M. E. Brunker served as Adjutant with the 26th Cameronians in the Abyssinian campaign in
1868 (Medal). Proceeded on special service to South Africa m 1878, and served as Staff Officer in the field force
of Griqualand West (mentioned in despatches). Served in the Zulu war of 1879, first with the Frontier Light
Horse of Wood's Column, and afterwards on the Staff of Line of Communications and Base (mentioned in de-
spatches, Brevet of Major, Medal vrith Clasp). Went to South Africa on special service in January 1881, and
served under Sir Evelyn Wood in the Boer war as Deputy Assistant Adjutant and Quarter Master General.
81 Lt.Colonel B. H. Burke served with the 68th Light Infantry in the New Zealand war in 1864-66, including
the attack of the Gate Pah, engagement at Te Ranga and attack on PutahiPah (Medal).
82 Lt.Colonel T. Burke served with the 88th Regiment in the Crimea from the nth August 1855, including the

21st Fusiliers in the Boer war in 1881 daring the defence of Pretoria, part of the time in command of the Regiment.
86 Lt.Colonel A. St. L. Burrowes served in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the engagement at Tel-
el-Mahuta, and, as Adjutant of the Battalion, in the action at Kassasin (9th Sept.), and in the battle of Tel-el-
Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Served in the Soudan campaign in 1885 in command of the
Mounted Infantry of the Royal Marresentand was present in the engagement at Hasheen and at the destruction of
Temai (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, Clasp).
87 Lt.Colonel J. R. B. Buscarlet served in the Egyptian war of 1882 (Medal, and Khedive's Star).
88 Lt.Colonel C. M. Calderon served on the Red River Expedition of 1870 (Medal).
