operations in the Bara Valley (Medal with two Clasps;. Served in the operations in Sierra Leone in 1898-99 ; was
Adjutant of the West African Regiment from 27th Sept. to 29th Dec. 1399 (Medal with Clasp). Served in the
South African war in 1399-1900, and was present at the relief of Ladysmith, including tne engagements at Vaal
Krantz ar. J Pieter's Hill.
