23 Captain Onslow served with the Isazai Expedition in 1892. Served with the Chitral Relief Force under Sir
Robert Low in 1895 with the ist Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment (Medal with Clasp).
24 Captain Saunders served with the Isazai Expedition in 1892. Served with the Chitral Relief Force under Sir
Robert Low in 1S95 as Assistant Commissariat Officer tst Brigade (Medal with Clasp). Served in the South
African war in 1899-1900 with the 2nd Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment, and was present in the operations round
Colesberg and Reneburg in January and February, in those in Orange River Colony under Major General Clements
in June and July, under Sir Archibald Hunter in July and August, including the surrender of Commandant
Prinsloo, and in August at the defence of Winburg and capture of Commandant Olivier (DSO.).

shire Regiment, including the storming of the Malakand Pass and the engagement near Khar (Medal with Clasp) .
30 Captain Nichcll served with the Chitral Relief Force under Sir Robert Low in 1895 with the ist Battalion Bed-
fordshire Regiment, including the storming of the Malakand Pass and the engagement near Khar (Medal with
Clasp). Served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart in 1897-98,
with the Malakand and Mohmand Field Forces, including the operations in Bajour; and with the Tirah Ex-
peditionary Force and Khyber Force as Transport and Commissariat Officer, including the forcing of the Sampagha
and Arhanga Passes and the operations in the Bazar Valley (Medal with two Clasps). Served in the South African
war of 1899-1902 taking part in the operations in Cape Colony, Orange River Colony and Transvaal (severety
wounded, Medal with four Clasps).
32 Captain Appleby served with the Chitral Relief Force under Sir Robert Low in 1895 with the ist Bat-
talion Bedfordshire Reeriment, including the storming of the Malakand Pass and the engagement near Khar
