*^* This edition is chiefly valuable on account of the engravings
by Girolamo Porro, and it is of very rare occurrence that the
proper engraving to canto 34 is to be found. That plate was not
ready in time for printing with the work, and the plate for canto
33 was repeated. When found it is always pasted over the wrong
plate, as in the present instance.
