been printed and reprinted privately no less than four times; in
such a vogue it was, notwithstanding the diligence of the bishops
to suppress it. The last time, which was this year, it came forth
with additions." Neal states that tliis first admonition was pre¬
sented to the House by the authors themselves, Mr. Field and
Mr. Wilcox, for which they were committed to Newgate, Oct. 2.
