No person in Lanark, Ayr, Eenfrew, Wigton, and Kirk¬
cudbright, who has refused any public trust, or withdraws
from public ordinances, or does not submit to the present
government of Church and State, or did not join the forces
against the late rebellion, is to keep a horse worth more
than 100 merks Scots after 15 May next, unless he takes the
oath of allegiance and subscribes the Declaration. Any horse
worth more is to be handed over by the sheriff to the
informer. These to be proclaimed.

Cites proclamation 5 March, No. 2306, q.v. Since then
divers outrages have been committed on the persons and
properties of ministers. All heretors, &c., are to protect not
only the persons but the property of ministers, and to rise
in arms and pursue the persons committing these outrages.
If these are not arrested the damage is to be assessed on the
parishioners, consideration being had for the well-affected.
These to be printed, published, and read in all parish churches
on a Sunday.
