hibiting the bringing in of any Armes or Ammu¬
nition into Scotland without licence. ^

Owing to recent attempts to land ammunition, it is
ordered that no one shall import arms or ammunition with¬
out previous licence on pain of forfeiture and other punish¬
ment. Shipmasters bringing it to forfeit their ships, be
imprisoned during pleasure, and other punishment. Notice
to be given of all arms and ammunition in the country for
which due compensation will be made. Informers to have
half forfeit. In force till 1 July 1657.

to clandestine marriages, all persons who marry clan¬
destinely and the celebrators of such marriages are to suffer
the full penalties of the laws. Magistrates to enforce the

Certain debtors in taking advantage of Order 15 April,
No. 2138, q.v., have included as debts rents due to ministers,
colleges, and schoolmasters out of their teinds. Notwith¬
standing this, the ministers, &c., by their factors may
obtain diligences, &c., till payment is obtained. These to
be recorded in the Book of Sedei'unt and proclaimed and
printed.
