Parliament in consideration of the heavy burdens of the
subjects has reduced the rate of interest from 10 per cent, to
8 per cent. The 2 per cent, saved is to be paid to the Crow^n
for three years as well as the twentieth penny now paid.
Makes arrangements for mode of payment, and for procedure
on non-payment. These to be published. Per actum Par-
limnenti.

each pound land of old extent payable Martinmasse 1633,
1634, 1635, 1636. All spiritual persons to pay their [fourth]
instalment to [Sir James M'^Gill of Cranstoun, Bt.] col¬
lector general on pain of horning. All sheriffs, &c., to raise
it on lands in their jurisdictions. Per actum Parliamenti.
