[Concerning outlawries and attainders.]

Cites proclamations of 5 July 1699, No. 1399, q.v., and
28 Feb. 1700[-1], No. 1431, q.v., enforcing Acts against
returned rebels and papists and offering rewards for their
apprehension. £50 for every titular popish archbishop or
bishop, temporal peer, general officer of the army, J30 for
every field-officer, £20 for every vicar-general or popish
dean, or captain, £10 for eveiy Jesuit, fryer, or monk,
lieutenant, cornet, or ensign, £5 for every non-commissioned
officer and private soldier. These proclamations are not put
in force owing to the neglect of the magistrates and officers.
Revenue officers are to take an exact account of all persons
coming into the kingdom, and arrest all suspicious characters.
An additional £50, making £100 in all, for the arrest of any
titular archbishop, or bishop, or general officer, and £10,
making £30 in all, for any vicar-general or popish dean.
All popish priests to make immediately the returns ordered
by proclamation 28 Feb. 1700[-lJ and add a list of any co¬
adjutors with full particulars. Sheriffs and Justices of Peace
to certify the returns made by the secular priests.

If any papists are found in a regiment the captain shall
be broke and the colonel suspended. £5 reward and a free
discharge for the discovery of any papist soldier. This to
be read to every regiment, &c., and published by the sheriffs.
