Cites proclamation 26 July, No. 1331, q.v. 3s. Gd. per
month per man is to be stoj^ped in dragoon regiments
during the six grass months for remounts. Balance un¬
expended to be shared on 1 May among those who have not
come on the fund. Those who have been remounted to pay
7s. next six grass months. Dragoons discharged or broke
have no claims on horses. If troops are disbanded the
horses belong to the troopers. As regards past stoppages
captains are to repay to those serving before 1694, £3
Serjeants, £2 corporal, 30s. drums, 20s. privates ; to those
serving before 1696, 30s. Serjeant, 20s. corporal, 15s. drum.
10s. privates. AH dragoons who have served four years
from 1 Jan. 1691 [-2] are to receive 20s. for their horses if
they have been discharged.

paragraph. 24s. has been stopped in Col. Henry Conyng-
ham's regiment for buying pistols, but this not being allowed
12s. was paid for broadswords and 12s. for fuzees; account is
to be made for this by 1 May. Dragoons who have left the
regiment to receive the 24s. if it was stopped from them.

Commanding officers to see that no soldier or soldier's wife
brews or sells any ale, beer, or strong waters. Revenue

published and affixed.

Much false counterfeit money is in circulation. The laws
against coining are to be enforced. Certain persons buy
counterfeit money and issue it as genuine. The buying and
selling of counterfeit money is strictly forbidden, on pain of
the utmost severity of the law.
