Many army and artillery officers were not paid in full at
the end of last campaign. Some treasury officers have been
buying their arrears at low and inconsiderable rates, to the
dishonour of the government. These agreements will be
treated as void, and clerks, &c., so offending will be dis¬
missed.

The articles of the surrender of Lymerick, Galway, &c.,
have not been kept as to the surrender of arms. All except
noblemen and housekeepers with a freehold of £100 a year
(who are declared gentlemen) are to surrender all arms,
offensive and defensive, by 10 March next. Reward for
information, 10s. each fire-arm, 5s. each other arm. Any
person having arms and not qualified is to give them up.
Qualified persons to apply for a licence. This to be pro¬
claimed three market days and hung up.

Some Justices of Peace and sheriffs have taken upon them
to dispossess subjects of goods and lands without warrant.
This is illegal. All sheriffs are to proclaim this in every
market town for three market days, so that any aggrieved
subject may complain at the next assizes. This not to inter¬
fere with the proclamation for disarming and securing the
arms of certain persons to-day.

were discharged of quit-rents, &c., due to the crown from 25
Dec. 1688 till the kingdom of Ireland is reduced. The king¬
dom is now obedient, and the war and rebellion ended.
