Dowling is revoked. The revenues from 26 Dec. 1675 to
25 Dec. 1682 are farmed to Sir James Shaen, Bart., William
Hill, William Kider, Thomas Hoar, Francis Soan, William
Muschamp, Edward Eichbill, Stanhop Mill, Lawrence
Stannyan, John Gourney, and Thomas Sheridan by letters

Many lands, which have passed by certificate or patent,
are charged with quit-rents equal to the annual value of the
land. A commission has been issued under royal letters of
3 Dec. 1675 to inquire into the matter and remit quit-rents
if necessary. Lands of the yearly value of 12d. per Irish
acre (Leinster), 9d. Munster, 8d. Ulster, or 6d. Connaught
not to be relieved, and the total relief not to amount to
£4,000 per annum. Claims for relief to be sent in to Eichard
Aldworth, Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant before 17
August next.

Cites royal letter 22 Sept. last. No claims of transplanted
persons in Connaught and Clare have been adjudicated on,
and many have not been reprized for their lands according
to the Declaration of 30 November 1660. A commission
has now been appointed to hear and determine all claims
which will meet 21 August at the late Court of Claims in
the King's Inn. All claims to be sent in by that date.

On petition the King by royal letter 28 March last
remits all forfeitures due by the Act of Explanation for
not enrolling grants or letters patent, &c., within the time
limited by the Act. A further period of two years is
allowed for enrolment. After that time forfeitures will
be enforced. These to be proclaimed in every county and
market town, and fixed up publicly.

£30,000 on lands restored or granted to Eoman CathoUcs
of Ireland ; royal letter of 1 February 1674[-5] ordering the
sum to be raised, and Act of Council 7 April 1676 making
the assessment. The sum is to be paid to John Bence,
the receiver under the Act, in four equal instalments, on
29 Sept. 1676, 25 March 1677, 29 Sept. 1677, and 25 March
1678.
