There are 3 parts to this ballad ; the 2nd called " Sweet William's happy Return," & the
3rd " Sweet Susan's Loyalty ". It was written by Gay, before 1724.

in the fields to take the ayr; 1
A mock-Song: Or, Love and no love. |
The young-man with this Maid would fain be doing,
And very earnest was with her in wooing;
But the Maiden she was very cunningly witted,
I think no young-man never was better fitted.
(these four lines in 2 cols, two and two.)
