of the Ignited States has compelled him to engage.

pardoning certain persons who may have taken unlawful

upon condition that they declare their offence, and take
the Oath of Allegiance.

practice of the Courts of the Vice-Admiralty regarding
the salvage of recaptured vessels whereof the owners are
entitled to restitution, in cases were neither the owners
or their agents are present to claim.
20 May. By the Privy Council. Granting permission
to British vessels clearing out for the Coast of Africa for
trading purposes, to take on board a certain quantity of
arms, ammunition, etc.
3 June. By the Privy Council. Allowing the importa¬
tion of rice " duty free," from the East India Company's
possessions, or the British Colonies.
15 July By the Privy Council. As to the performance
of quarantine by \-essels arriving from the Mediterranean
which are not infected, and are not furnished with Bills
of Health.
15 July. By the Privy Council. Continuing the pro¬
hibition to export arms, ammunition, etc., for six months
from the 8th August.
15 July. By the Privy Council. Continuing the pro¬
hibition to export Naval stores, for six months from the
8th August.
21 July. By the Privy Council. F"or a Special Prayer
and Thanksgiving to be used forthwith throughout
England and Ireland, for further successes over the
French army in Spain, especially that of Vittoria.

22 July. Speech of the Prince Reyent proroguing
Parliament to the 23rd August.
31 July. By George, Prince of Wales. Regent. All
soldiers now serving in the Army (the Veteran Battalions

for a further three years.
