of Canada. Ordinance revising the Ordinance of the
17th September 1764, as to the administration of justice
in Canada, annulling certain clauses under which
intolerable abuses have been practised. [Quoted in
" Kingsford's History of Canada," vol. v., p. 213,
Toronto, 1892, 8vo.]
17 February. For apprehending the persons who
committed various outrages in Holland, Lines., upon
the division of Holland Fen and other commonable
places adjoining, amongst several townships, etc.
Various rewards.
2 March. By the Lord Lienteyiant of Ireland. Against
the persons who set fire to, and burned the house of
Thomas Cane, of Cloyne, co. Cork.

the persons who houghed eight bullocks, and four heifers,
belonging to William Fuller, of Cork.

the persons who riotously assembled near the harbour of
Daranane, co. Kerry, with intent to rescue four hogs¬
heads, and thirty anchors of brandy from Revenue
Officers, who had seized same for non-payment of duty.

9 March. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Requiring
the persons named to surrender themselves to the Justices
of the Peace of Derry, pursuant to an Act, for the more
effectual execution of Orders of the Court, for giving
and quieting possessions.

9 March. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Against
the persons named, for the murder of John Toner,
schoolmaster, of Corvally, co. Antrim.

12 March. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. The
Irish Parliament further prorogued from the 20th March
to the ist May.
15 March. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Against
three persons distinguished by the names of Captain
Fearnought, Lieutenant Calfskin, and Ensign Leather-
coat, who headed about 300 persons with white linen
over their clothes, and entered the dwelling house of
William Shee, merchant, of Thomastown, co. Kilkenny,
and knocked him down, and committed other outrages.

19 March. For apprehending the persons who pulled
down the fences set up to mark the divisions of Holland
Fen, Lines., and committed other outrages. Various
rewards.
27 March. For apprehending the persons who broke
into, and robbed the Custom House at Minehead, on the
nth and 12th inst. ;^5o reward.
5 April. By the Privy Council. For preventing the
spread of the contagious disease amongst horned cattle
in Scotland.
14 April. For apprehending the persons who sent a
letter threatening the Dean of Westminster, if he did
not make a public footway through Dean's Yard.

20 April. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. The
Irish Parliament further prorogued from the ist May to
the 28th August.
1 May. By the Lord Lieutena7it of Ireland. Against the
persons who houghed the cattle of William Crawford,
on the Lands of Ballysavage, co. Antrim.

12 May. For apprehending the persons who piratically
attacked, rifled, and ran ashore the Excise Cutter
" Pelham," stationed at Beaumaris, on the 2nd May.

19 May. His Majesty's Speech proroguing Parliament
to the 19th July.
6 July. By the Privy Council. Parliament further
prorogued from the 19th July to the 25th September.
9 July. For apprehending the persons who have
committed various outrages in Holland, Lines., in order
to obstruct the division of Holland Fen. Various
rewards.
13 July. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Against
the persons named, for the murder of William Tiernan,
master weaver, of Rainsford Street.

30 July. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Against
Miles Sweeney, farmer, of Lisheenro, co. Cork, for the
murder of his servant maid, Honory Murrahy.

7 August. For apprehending the persons who set fire
to Portsmouth Dock-Yard on the 27th July. ^1,000

21 August. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. The
Irish Parliament further prorogued from the 28th August
to the i6th October.
14 September. By the Privy Council. Prohibiting the
importation of cattle, hides, horns, etc., from Dunkirk,
or any part of Flanders not mentioned in the Order of
the 26th May 1760.
15 September. For apprehending the persons who
have committed various outrages at Holland, Lines.

18 September. By the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. For
discovering the persons who murdered Barnaby Sheridan,
Ellinor his"wife, and Patrick Sheridan their son, in the
parish of Turvey, co. Dublin.
