6 April. For apprehending — Weston, formerly clerk,
of Gray's Inn Chapel, charged with publishing a treason¬
able libel. ;^5oo reward.
6 April. For apprehending the persons who broke into
Mr. Stoddart's chambers in Philpot Lane, and carried
away gold and notes, value ;^7,ioo. ;^ioo reward.
13 April. For apprehending the person who, on the
23rd March, robbed and caused the death of the Duke
of Portland's butler (Mr. Brett), in the Strand. ^100
reward.
16 April. For apprehending the two highwaymen, who
this day robbed the Bristol Mail at Longford. ;^200
reward.
16 April. Any person who on or after this date shall
apprehend any highwaymen who shall have robbed the
mail, shall receive ;^20o reward.
23 April. By the Lords Justices of Ireland. For dis¬
covering and apprehending the murderers of Captain de
Quinsack's wife, and for apprehending Nathaniel Day, a
Quaker, who escaped out of the Gaol of Tralee.

depart from London and Westminster and within ten
miles thereof, and confining them to their own habita-
tations ; and for putting in execution the laws against
Papists and non-jurors as well as riots and rioters.

regiment and joined another, to be allowed to continue
in the latter without fear of molestation.

certain goods from the United East India Company's
warehouse, Botolph Wharf. ;^5o reward.

and elect a representative in place of the Earl of Rothes
(deceased).
2 July. For apprehending the writer and sender of a
letter to Sir John Gonson, threatening his life for en¬
deavouring to suppress unlawful gaming. ;^5o reward.
19 July. Requiring the passes of all ships trading in
the way of the Algerine cruisers to be returned to the
Admiralty for others of a new form to be issued.

prorogued from the 2nd August to the 4th September.

concealment of the death of reduced officers upon the
establishment.
7 August. For apprehending John Sample, alias Semple,
charged with high treason. ;^i,ooo reward.
13 August For apprehending Thomas Cart, a non-
juring clergyman. ;^i,000 reward.

24 October. For apprehending Hampton Mason, master
of the ship, " Hampton and Elizabeth," who clandes¬
tinely sold his cargo on the coast of Lincoln, and burnt
his ship off Yarmouth. ;^5o reward.
16 November. By the Lords fustices of Ireland. For
apprehending Andrew Cullen.

himself King James III. of England and King fames VIII.
of Scotland. Copy of the King's letter to the Archbishop
of Canterbury, remonstrating with him for having signed
a paper expressing abhorrence of all designs for a
