of certain impious and immoral clubs, or societies of
corrupt young people in and about the Cities of London
and Westminster.
7 May. For apprehending Jacob Walter, a notorious
owler and smuggler, and Thomas Bigg, as well as
several others who aided in rescuing them from the
excise officers at Lydd. j^^o reward for each.
7 May. Directions to our Archbishops and Bishops
for preserving unity in the church, and purity of the
Christian faith, especially in the doctrine of the Holy
Trinity.
9 June. For apprehending the crew, and other persons
who boarded the ship " Batchelor," of Newcastle, when
in distress, under pretence of rendering assistance, and
rifled her, murdering the passengers the better to
conceal their guilt. ;^ioo reward.
11 June. For apprehending Doctor Gaylard, appren¬
tice to Nathaniel Mist of Great Carter Lane, in the city
of London, printer, and Nathaniel Wilkinson. ;^200
reward.
