Transcript of letter from W Burke, June 1915

Letter from W Burke, Secretary, Cyclist's Touring Club, London, to John Bartholomew & Son, dated 25 June 1915:

Gentlemen

I send herewith corrected Map of Environs of London, one inch to the mile, but I very much regret to state that the second sheet, which bore numerous corrections, went astray in the post on its way to one of our reviewers. I have taken the matter up with the Post Office, but up to the present, they have merely acknowledged receipt of my letter. If the map should turn up, I will send it on to you without delay. This is very annoying to us both, but the member to whom it was directed assures me it never reached him, and I can only think that the Post Office is at fault.

Yours faithfully
W Burke
Secretary
