Transcript of letter from W Burke, April 1915

Letter from Cyclist's Touring Club Secretary W Burke, from the club's premises in London, to John Bartholomew & Son, dated 10 April 1915:

Gentlemen

Your favour of the 8th instant to hand. As regards the roads through Eaton Park, although the Duke of Westminster has sole control, yet it has been his practice for a long time past to allow cyclists to use the roads upon condition that no scorching or other misbehaviour on their part occurs, so that I think the roads should still be shown, although uncoloured.

I send herewith the ordinary road copy of sheet number 12 and hope to be able to send the special copy on Monday.

I am very sorry about sheet 9, but I have tried my best to get it returned from the last reviser it was sent to, but have been unsuccessful.

Yours faithfully
W Burke
Secretary
