Songs of Innocence and of Experience

Folio published facsimile volume of original edition. The book is sewn on three parchment slips through holes created from previous binding. Thongs are threaded through lined pulp boards. Cover is silk embroidered with silk threads and freshwater pearls, with inspiration taken from the illustration of 'the silk rose'. Tie is made from silk ribbon and secured with a clasp made from silk thread. The volume is then placed in a handkerchief of silk, tied with textile 'vine'. Contained in a collapsible gold box labelled with toned parchment, annotated in iron gall ink and decorated with textile 'vine'.
