RICKSHAS, BOATS, &c., IN THE COLONY OF HONGKONG
The fares prescribed for public vehicles are as follows T—
40 cents for the first mile and 10 cents for every quarter of a mile thereafter any distances^
TAXICAB FARES
The fare for the hiring of a motor cab fitted with a taximeter shall be according to the
following scale:—
A. For a distance not exceeding one mile ... .. f0.50
B. Exceeding one mile, for each quarter of a mile 0.10
C. Waiting time with meter shut off for each period of five minutes ... 0.10

I.—In the Island of Hongkong

If the Jinricksha be engaged within the City of Victoria, and be discharged outside the-
Western part of the City of Victoria after 9 p.m., or be discharged to the East of Bay View
Police Station on the Eastern side of the City of Victoria after 9 p.m., an extra half fare shall
be chargeable. For 2 or 3 drivers the fare is double or treble respectively.
II.—In the Hill District
