f SECT. II.] HYMNS. 63‘
s Streams of mercy never ceasing*
l Call for songs of loudest praise.
■ Teach me ever to adore thee ;
' May I still thy goodness prove ;
J While the hope of endless glory
I Fills my heart with joy and love.
2 Here I raise my Ebenezer,
Hither by thy help I’m come;
5 And I hope by thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
[ Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wand’ring from the fold of God;
He, to save my soul from danger,
Interpos’d his precious blood.
* 5 O! to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrain’d to be !
t pet that grace. Lord, like a fetter,
Bind my wand’ring heart to thee !
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; '
Prone to leave the God I love—
Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it,
if Seal it from thy courts above.
633.
Ebenezer—New Year.
1 T ET hearts and tongues unite.
And loud thanksgivings raise;
■ ’Tis duty, mingled with delight,
| To sing the Saviour’s praise.
S. 2 To him we owe our breath.
He took us from the womb,
Which else had shut us up in death,
And prov’d an early tomb.
| 5 When on the breast we hung,
Our help was in the Lord;
