. II.] HYMNS.
594.
Desiring ike Spread of the Gospel.
I ARK the .solemn trumpet sounding,
* Loud proclaims the jubilee;
‘is the voice of grace abounding,
‘Grace to sinners rich and free :
the name of Jesus precious ?
1 Does his love your spirits cheer ?
io you find him kind and gracious,
I Still removing doubt and fear ?
hink that what he is to you,
uch he’ll be to others too.
•’ere you onee at awful distance,
1 Wand’ring from the fold of God?
ould no arm afford assistance,
Nothing save but Jesu’s blood ?
!)iink how many still are found,
grangers to the joyful sound,
irethren, join in supplication.
Join to plead before the Lord;
fis his arm that brings salvation,
He alone can give the word,
i 'ather, let thy kingdom come,
iring thy wand’ring outcasts home,
brethren, let jis freely offer;
All we have is from above:
jet us give, and act, and suffer i
What is this to Jesu’s love ?
Jid he die our souls to save ?
i ?hen we’re his, and all we have.
