7 HYMNS. [PAR;
And guides me in his own right way,
For his most holy naijie.
4 While he affords his aid,
I cannot yield to.fear ;
Tho’ I should walk through death’s dark shade.
My shepherd’s with me there.
5 In spite of all my foes.
The . dost my table spread.
My cup with blessings overflows.
And joy exalts my head.
6 The bounties of thy love
Shall crown my foil’wing days;
Nor from thy house will I remove.
Nor cease to speak thy praise.
177.
The Good Shepherd. Isaiah liil. 6.
2 How dreadful was the hour.
When God our wand’rings laid.
And did at once his vengeance pour
Upon the Shepherd’s head !
3 How glorious was the grace.
When Christ sustain’d the stroke !
His precious blood the Shepherd pays
A ransom for the flock.
1 His honour and his breath
Were taken both away :
Join’d with the wicked in his death,
And laid as low as they.
5 But God hath rais’d his head
O’er all the sons of men;
And guides me in his own right way,
For his most holy naijie.
