&c. Eph. iii. 17, “Knowing that a man is not justified
by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ;
even we have believed in Jesus, that we might be justified
by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; for
by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Gal. ii.
16. “For by one man’s offence death reigned by one,
much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of
the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life, by one Jesus
Christ.” Rom. v. 17. “ All that the Father giveth me shall
come to me ; and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise
cast out. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me,
that of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing,
but should raise it up again at the last day.” John vi. 37, 39.
“ For the kingdom of heaven is not meat and drink, but
righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Rom.
xiv. 17. “ There is therefore now no condemnation to them
which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but
after the Spirit.” Rom. vifi. 1. “These things have I written
unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that
ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John v. 13.
“ And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” Eph. iv. 23.
“ And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of
Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith : that I
may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the
fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto
his death.” Phillip iii. 9, 10. “ Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism unto death, that like as Christ was
raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even
so we also should walk in newness of life.” Rom. vi. 4.
“ But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth

confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a
good work in you will perform it unto the day of Jesus
Christ.” Phillip, i. 6. “ Nevertheless, my loving-kindness
will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness
to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing
that is gone out of my lips.” Psa. Ixxxix. 33, 34. “ There¬
fore being justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ. By whom also we have
