Ronald’s Large Black Heart.
Fruit ripens in the beginning of July, the tree
a great bearer, and fruit valuable.
Fruit of a bright red colour, ripens in July,
and has an agreeable acid flavour; tree a great
bearer, and fruit much esteemed.
Harrison’s Heart.
Fruit ripens in July and August; tree a good
bearer, and fruit esteemed.
White Heart.
The fruit is heart-shaped, and generally es¬
teemed.
Morello.
The fruit small, round, and of a red colour;
tree a great bearer; the fruit will keep late, and
is excellent for preserving, and for brandy.
The fig is a fruit desired in most families, and
the folio whig is a list of such sorts as are most
agreeable to this climate:
