Note. This weight is so called because the apothecaries use it in
pounding their medicines; but they-buy and sell their drugs by a
dupois weight. Apothecaries is the same as troy weight, having only
some different divisions.
Examples.
3. In 17 lb how many ounces, drams, and scruples ?
Ans. 204 oz 1632 dr 4896 scr.
2. How many lbs are in 4896 scruples ? Ans. 17 lb.
3. In 231 lb 3 oz and 5 gr, how many grains ?
Ans. 1332005 grs.
4. In 1332005 grains, how many lb? Ans. 231 lb3oz 5gr.
