It was a long time before Mrs. Selwyn,

could look on Harry with a favourable

take notice of him, fhe remonftxated the
danger of fpoiling boys by indulgence,
and endeavoured to counterbalance the
eftimation of his good qualities, by the
recital of little tales which fhe now and
then picked up againft him.
