a fiege, a well was made in the court, by

I have not heard mentioned as brackifh,
though it has feme hardnefs, or other qua¬
lities, which make it lefs fit for nfe ; and
the family is now better fupplied from a
itream, which runs by the rock, from two
pleafing water-falls.
Here we faw feme traces of former
manners, and heard fome -ftanding tradi¬
tions. In the houfe is kept an ox’s horn,
hollowed fo as to hold perhaps two quarts,
