MOTHERWELL
PROJECT
The Motherwell Project is just over a year old, a year of
substantial progress.
To date, £10 million of our £60 million budget has been
allocated, and to very good effect.
Forty new companies have been set up in the area and £80,000
of small business loans taken up.
Large sums have been put towards improving the environment
-including the centres of Motherwell, Wishaw and Bellshill-to realise
development opportunities.
We have our Foodpark, a unique concept, the first of its type in
Britain, and our first tenants are already in business.
In addition, we’ve renovated and refurbished local industrial
estates.
Not bad for starters. rt
