COMPETITION SESSIONS
Saturday: Solo Fiddle and Fiddle Groups, 50p; Juvenile Piping, 50p; Senior Piping, £1.50.
Junior Section: Monday, 50p; Tuesday, 50p; Wednesday, Ceol is Cleas, 50p.
Senior Section: Wednesday forenoon, £1.00; Wendesday afternoon, £1.00; Wednesday evening, £1.00.
Thursday forenoon, £1.00; Thursday afternoon, £1.00; Folk Group Competition, 50p; Drama, £2.00.
Friday forenoon, £1.00; Friday afternoon, £1.00; Lovat and Tullibardine, £1.00; Margrat Duncan, £1.00.
Admission free to all Oral, Clarsach, Piano and Accordion Competitions. All admissions include V.A.T.
NOTES FOR THE GUIDANCE OF COMPETITORS
1. Some Medals and Trophies will be presented at the end of competitions. In a few cases where aggregate
marks have to be checked presentation will be at a concert. Major prizes will also be presented at evening
concerts.
2. Prize money must be collected from the Treasurer’s Office as soon as possible after results are announced.
The Mod Office is located in Lochaber High School.
3. First prizewinners in recitation of poetry, story-telling, instrumental and vocal competitions are required
to appear at the appropriate evening concert. Announcements regarding the programme of each concert
will be made during competition sessions.
4. Competitors ARE NOT allowed to consult books, manuscripts, or copies of music during competitions,
except Junior Piano competitions. (Comps. 60, 61).
5. GAELIC TEST in Room 10a
Monday 11.00 a.m. — 3.30 p.m.
Tuesday — Thursday 8.30 a.m. — 12 noon & 2.00 p.m. — 3.30 p.m.
Friday 8.30 a.m. — 12 noon
There are three grades: (Leugh na duilleagan dathte — See coloured section)
A Green Card. A permanent pass which allows the holder to take part in Fluent Speakers’ Competitions.
B Certificate which allows the holder to take part in Fluent Speakers’ Competitions for this year only.
C Certificate which allows the holder to take part in specified Choral Competitions only.
N.B. Cards and Certificates must be shown to Session Chairman before competing.
