DescriptionChilde Harold’s Pilgrimage was the poem which made Byron famous. It was issued in instalments from 1812. This is Byron’s first draft of the third canto of Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage, published in 1816.

Included are manuscripts of Byron's epic poem 'Don Juan' in Byron’s own hand, with all his corrections and notes, and a neat copy by Mary Shelley. Examples of Byron's letters and journals are also included here.
