The ji'rove, thro' which we stray at muni.
Will with its music make us g-ladj
The yellow gleam of setting- beam,
Will still a softer influence shed:
And ev'ning", too, will bring- its charms-,'
Such charms as soothe the lovers soul,
The moon's mild ray will sweetly play
On Yarrows waters, as they roll.
We'll love -with overflowing hearts,
And wrap us in a golden dream,
Tears of delight will dim the sight.
And Yarrow will an Kden seem.
Then let us leave the town my love.
And lay ourselves by Yarrow T s stream,
Where April g-ales adown the vales
Give softness to the lover's dream.
