Thomas Blacklock

Dr Thomas Blacklock by William Bonnar.

It was his praise of the Kilmarnock edition of 'Poems, chiefly in the Scottish dialect' which made Robert Burns think again about emigrating. Blacklock later introduced Burns to many of his Edinburgh friends.
