Salt-seller, 1839

Colour sketch of a woman buying salt from the vendor on his cart.

The artist, Elizabeth Fussell, toured through Fife, Perth, Angus and Stirlingshire in the summer of 1839. Although she recorded the various places she visited, the sketches are almost exclusively of people.
