This booklet includes a chapter on the evacuation of children to the countryside, in anticipation of air raids on cities and towns.
The attitude of the children is used as an example to boost morale: 'Day by day … in the schools the courage and discipline of children and teachers alike have been helping to maintain the steadiness of our national life.'
