William Fyfe Senior and Hugh Lyon Tennent. Fyfe (or Fife) (1786-1865) was the founder of Fife's boatyard in 1812. He lived in North Row (now Bay Street), in Fairlie. He had started building boats for his own use, but it soon developed into a successful business.
