Description	A selection of illustrated manuscript journals, watercolour paintings and sketches by John Francis Campbell of Islay (Iain Òg Ìle, 1821 to 1885). Campbell was a Gaelic scholar, folklorist, artist, scientist and traveller. The volumes document his travels around the world, including the Scottish Highlands, Wales, England, Scandinavia, North America and Japan.
