The variety of material in the John Murray Archive can enrich and support learning throughout the curriculum. Our workshops and teaching resources are designed to challenge, engage and motivate pupils as well as supporting the development of:

Secondary workshops
Suitable for S4-6
Investigate the Past, S4-6
Use original items from the John Murray Archive to find out about people in the past. Develop historical research skills and find out how archives preserve evidence of history. Students can also have a tour of the National Library of Scotland or visit one of our specialist departments on request.
Workshops are available for all secondary school years. They will be adapted to suit their level of knowledge, but must be booked at least six weeks in advance.
