Lieut. Col. BLACKADER'S
LIFE

PARENTAGE.
IEUTENANT Colonel John Blackader
was fon to Mr John Blackader, Minifier
of the parilh of Troqueer, fituated in the county,
and very near the town of Dumfries. He was the
defcendant and reprefentative of an ancient and
refpe&able Scottifli family*." The inilruAion,
example, and fufferings of this excellent man,
muit have had fo much influence, it is probable,
in forming the character of his Son, that thofc
who may feel an intereft in the papers now laid
