enters his solemn protest and appeal to the

The writer, therefore, John Paul Mac-
donald, Hay, Ross, Leslie, a poor private
teacher, who has not ten pounds a year to
depend on, throws down his glove of de-
fiance, both here and hereafter, to his grace

lord keeper of the great seal of the disho-
nest, dishonourable, and worse than beg-
garly Sc — h crown, and commits these
presents to the arch constable Leo Belgi-
cus, under this token, that he went to the
church-yard of Tongue, on a night, in the
