To me, as a Don, it has a definite consanguineous interest;
for, the two families lived side by side for centuries and
generations, on the lower waters of the Cruick, and frequently
intermarried.
The last intermarriage was my own; whereof proof will not
be wanting, while my son David Fairweather Don, lives, or
his memory is preserved.
