stammered much in his
Speech, was a wise Gentleman and of
dexterous Conduct in his Affairs. He intended a Purchase of
the Lordship of Errol. But before he could accomplish that
Design he died, to wit, in November 1691.
ROBERT CARNEGY the Fifth Son died young sans Issue.
1. LADY MAGDALEN
CARNEGY the eldest Daughter of David
Earl of Northesk married John Moodie of Arbikie, and was
long blind, and her Children died young.
2. LADY JEAN
CARNEGY Second Daughter to the Earl of
Northesk married Coline Earl of Belcarres, was his Second
Lady and bare to him sundry Children, who all died, except
Lady Anne Lindesay.
DAVID Earl of Northesk
eldest Son to David the Second
Earl of Ethie and Northesk succeeded to his Father in the
Fortune and Honours. He married Lady Beatie Lindesay
youngest Daughter to John Earl of Crawford and Lindesay.
She bare to him John who died young, also 2 other Sons,
David and John, and Four Daughters, Margaret, Jean, Anne
and Christian Carnegys. This Earl and his Lady both died
young. His Son David succeeded to him.

LADY JEAN died a Child.
LADY ANNE CARNEGY died a Child also sans Issue.
LADY CHRISTIAN CARNEGY in 1701 married James present
Marquis of Montrose.
DAVID Earl of Northesk
succeeded to his Father in 1696.
He married Lady Margaret Weems 2d Daughter to
James
Lord Burnt Island and Lady Margaret Weems Countess and
Heiress of that Ilk.
