Bruce of Kennet, Sheriff Depute. He was afterwards
Master of the Mint, and died in May 1734.
1715-42— Andrew Stein, at Kennetpans, Sheriff- Depute.
1729— James Dalrymple. advocate, Sheriff Depute, — appointed
by his father, Colonel the Hon. William Dahymple,
M.P. This James Dalrymple was afterwards third
Earl of Stair; died 1760.
1748 — James Graham of Boquhaple, Sheriff Substitute.

By the Act 33 and 34 Victoria, chapter 37, it is enacted that thu
Senior Magistrate of Police Burghs shall be ex officio a Justice of the
Peace and Commissioner of Supply of the County within which the
Burgh is situated. The Senior Alagistrate of Alloa is thus, in virtue
©f his office, constituted a Justice of the Peace and Commissioner of
Sapplj for this County.
