128 Paisley Public Offices.
Each Ton of all other Goods, Wares, Merchandise, Com-
modities, Cattle, and other things, - - 6d.
For each and every time any Ship, Steam Boat, Vessel,
Barge, Lighter, Boat, or other Craft carrying any Pas-
senger or Passengers, shall ply upon or navigate the
River, or navigable Cut or Canal, or any part thereof,
upwards, per ton, - - - - £d.
And a Duty for each and every time such Ship, Steam
Boat, Vessel, Barge, Lighter, Boat, or other Craft, shall
ply upon or navigate the said River, or Cut or Canal, or
any part thereof, downwards, of per Ton, - ^d.
Luggage of Persons or Families going to Bathing or other
Quarters, to be Free.
Passengers on Business to be allowed 28lbs. weight of
Luggage free; any surplus to be charged as other
Goods.
If the Owners of Goods or Passage Boats, or their Agents, are not
willing to pay the Rates and Duties contained in the above table,
then it shall be competent for the Collector to demand the maximum
amount of the Dues authorised to be levied by the Act of Parliament,
passed 17th June, 1835, entituled "An Act to amend an Act for
improving the Navigation of the River Cart, and for Deepening and
Extending the Harbour of Paisley, in the County of Renfrew."
