Stamp Duties.
If the sum insured shall not exceed .£100 — 2s. 6d.
And if the sum insured shall exceed £100, then for every £100, or
any fractional part thereof — 2s. 6d.
And where the premium for such insurance, actually paid, or con-
tracted for, shall exceed the rate of 30s. per cent, on the sum insured.
If the sum shall not exceed £100 — 5s.
And if the sum shall exceed £100, then for every £100, or any
fractional part thereof — 5s.
But if the separate interests of two or more distinct persons shall be
insured by one policy, then the said duty of Is. 3d. — 2s. 6d — or 5s. as
the case may require, shall be charged thereon, in respect of each and
fractional part of £100, as well as in respect of every full sum of
£100, which shall be thereby insured upon any separate and distinct
interest.
And for every policy of insurance, or other instrument, whereby any
insurance shall be made upon any Ship or Vessel, or the freight of any
Ship or Vessel, or any interest in or relating to any Ship or Vessel
which may be insured for any period of time, the following rates for
every £100, and also for any fractional part thereof; that is to say,
where any such insurance shall be made for any term or period not ex-
ceeding three calendar months 2s. 6d.
Exceeding three calendar months — 5s.
AGREEMENTS, not above 1080 words, 20s Above 1080 words
35s. — With a progressive duty of 25s. for every
1080 words additional.
Personal Bonds and Mortgages.
