THE ROYAL FAMILY.
Her Majesty, Alexaxdrina Victoria, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen,
Defender of the Faith, bom May 24, 1819 ; succeeded to the throne, June 20, 1837, on the death of
her uncle King William iv. ; crowned June 28, 1838 ; and married, February 10, 1840, to the late
Field-Marshal his Eoyal Highness Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emanuel, Prince Consort,
Duke of Saxony, Prince of Coburg and Gotha, k.g., k.t., k.p., g.m.b., g.c.m.g., k.s.i., p.c. Consort
of Her Majesty, born August 26, 1819 ; died 14th December 18G1. Her Majesty is the only child of
his late Eoyal Highness Edward Duke of Kent, fourth son of King George iii.

1840 ; mai-ried, Januaiy 25, 1858, to his Eoyal Highness the Crown Prince of Prussia, k.g. (only

Albert, bom 27th January 1859; her Eoyal Highness Princess Victoria Elizabeth Augusta
Charlotte, bom 24th July 1860 ; his Eoyal Highness Prince Albert William Henry, bom 14th
August 1862 ; his Eoyal Highness Prince Francis Frederick Sigismund, born 15th September
1864, died 18th June 1866 ; and her Eoyal Highness Princess Friederika Wilhelmina Amelie
Victoria, bom 12th April 1866.

bom November 9, 1841 ; married, 10th March 1863, to the Princess Alexandra (bom 1st
December 1844), eldest daughter of the King of Denmark, and has issue his Eoyal Highness
Prince Albert Victor Christian Edward, bom 8th Januarj' 1864; his Eoyal Highness Prince
George Frederick Emest Albert, born 3d June 1865 ; and her Eoyal Highness Louise Victoria
Alexandra Dagmar, bom February 20, 1867.

February 1843, Princess Mary of Saxe-Altenberg, and has issue a son and two daughters.
His Eoyal Highness George Frederick William Charles, Duke of Cambridge, Field-Marshal
Commanding-in-Chief, k.g., k.p., g.c.b., g.c.h., g.c.m.g.. p.c, d.c.l., cousin to Her Majesty, born March
26, 1819.
Her Eoyal Highness Augusta Caroline CiL'VRLOtte Elizabeth Mary Sophia Louisa, daughter of
the late Duke of Cambridge, and cousin to Her Majesty, born July 19, 1822 ; married, June 28, 1843,
