Appointments of Sliips' Agents under the Naval Agency and Distribution Act, 1864, are made by
Commanding Oflacers. Solicitors, proctors, attorneys and persons in the service of the Crown are
ineligible for appointment, as are incorporated bodies, but partnership bodies not incorporated,
individual officials of incorporated bodies in a personal capacity, or any other individuals may be
nominated if otherwise eUgible under the Act.
